Ken Boldt
Mr. Ken Boldt, Colorado’s Deputy Bank Commissioner, was appointed State Bank Commissioner on May 1, 2019. He has served as Acting State Bank Commissioner since December 1, 2017.
As State Bank Commissioner, he is responsible for the regulation of state-chartered banks, trust companies, licensed money transmitters, and the Public Deposit Protection Act subject to the policy and rule-making authority of the Colorado State Bank Board.
Commissioner Boldt joined the Division of Banking in April 2012 as a Supervising Examiner, and was appointed as the Deputy Bank Commissioner on November 1, 2013. He served as the Acting Bank Commissioner from January 1, 2014, until July 8, 2015. Prior to joining the Division, he was senior examiner and manager in the Examinations and Inspections Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Denver Branch. Commissioner Boldt began his bank supervision career with the Reserve Bank in Kansas City and moved to Denver, CO in 1984.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Simpson College, Indianola, Iowa.
