Board Meetings
The notices regarding Board Meetings are updated no later than the 10th of each month. Posting of "Use of Name" requests are done as needed. If you have any questions with regard to this information, please contact the Division at 303-894-7575.
The Banking Board meets the third Thursday of every month at 10:00 a.m. MDT and, with the exception of Executive Sessions, meetings are open to the public. The public is invited to attend in person at 1560 Broadway, Denver, Room 100D or via the Zoom link listed below; the passcode is 832326:

The bulletin lists applications from previous months that have been approved by the Banking Board or the State Bank Commissioner via delegated authority granted by the Banking Board. Transactions remain on the bulletin until completed. Bulletins from the previous few calendar years are listed in the Documents at the foot of this page.
Notice of Proposed Rulemaking
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT, as required by Section 24-4-103, C.R.S., of the State Administrative Procedures Act, the Colorado State Banking Board (Banking Board) hereby gives notice of proposed rulemaking. A virtual and in-person hearing is scheduled for Thursday, February 20, 2025, commencing at 10:00 a.m. at 1560 Broadway, Room 100D, Denver, Colorado 80202. Sunset Reviews
The Colorado Office of Policy, Research and Regulatory Reform is conducting two sunset reviews: one of the Division of Banking and the Banking Board and another of the regulation of Money Transmitters. Each review will produce a report to the Colorado General Assembly and result in legislation based on the recommendations in the reports. Analysis is performed to determine whether regulation is necessary and, if it is necessary, whether any changes should be made to the regulation of state chartered banks, trust companies, escrow companies and money transmitters. Stakeholders are invited to submit any issues, concerns or ideas about the regulation of these entities to COPRRR. To submit your comments online, please visit COPRRR's online form.

This critical and repeatable cybersecurity tool is easy to use, and designed to assist nonbank companies of all sizes assess their readiness for ransomware attacks. This updated Nonbank R-SAT was developed collaboratively by CSBS, state bank examiners, the Bankers Electronic Task Force, and the U.S. Secret Service in response to the increasing cyber threat environment and evolutions in company control environments.
Use of Name Requests
The use of the words "Bank," "Trust," and "Trust Company" in any Colorado corporate filing is restricted by Sections 11-107-101 and 11-109-102, C.R.S.
- All requests for Use of Name must be approved by the Division of Banking prior to filing with the Colorado Secretary of State.
- Requests filed with the Division will be posted on this page for a fourteen (14) calendar day period, during which the public may submit any questions, comments, or objections on the proposed name.

A "Use of Name" request was received by the Colorado Division of Banking from Waterman Bank (Waterman, Illinois) to use the name "Waterman Bank" in Colorado. Questions, comments, or objections should be directed to dora_applications@state.co.
The fourteen (14) calendar day period for either submission of comments or objections regarding these requests will expire on December 23, 2024.
